After a delightfully short drive from Kelowna, we pulled into town about 3:00 this afternoon (6:00 Toronto time) and proceeded to hotel number eight: a lovely Holiday Inn Express featuring free breakfast and a fountain at the entrance, complete with lifesize statues.
It's official - we've been on the road for two weeks!!!
Since leaving Maple Lodge 14 days ago, we've seen over 5000 kilometres of the country...WHAT?! It's really hard to believe we've made it to the west coast in such a short time, and even more mind-boggling to think about all we've seen and experienced in that time. Canada really is SO beautiful and I'm so thankful that I get to see it from this perspective.
The mountains have had to be the best part of our journey. Honestly, with each passing kilometre, the mountains get bigger and better and more BEAUTIFUL! I told myself I wouldn't be as snap-happy with my camera today, but, like many new year's resolution, that goal lasted about 10 minutes. I ended up blasting Down to Earth by Peter Gabriel on my iPod and just clicked away, trying to bottle up the vast scene out the window.
majestically breathtaking heaps of dazzling freedom explosions!
The only downside to this mass amount of nation-trotting? Exhaustion.
Goodnight, until tomorrow! Overwaitea Head Office in the morning!
